Congratulations, Powell and Christy! The newlyweds tied the knot in a classic and romantic wedding day at Duke Mansion, one of my favorite spots in Charlotte NC for weddings. It was the sweetest wedding day and I’m so happy that I could be with them both to celebrate. We had a great time together again at Duke Mansion (where we went for their engagement photos). And, it was amazing to watch them be announced as husband and wife!
Duke Mansion Wedding Day
Despite the chilly day, Christy and Powell decided to have their ceremony out on the lawn at Duke Mansion. It was a beautiful ceremony and I don’t think anyone minded the slight chill in the air as vows were exchanged. Christy looked gorgeous in her classic wedding gown. I loved the v shape on the front of the gown and she chose a pastel and white bouquet to carry. I’m a sucker for elegant bouquets like hers!
After the ceremony, Christy and Powell enjoyed the company of their family and friends throughout the night. Their celebration took place across the courtyard, lobby, and reception space at the Mansion. Honestly, all of that variety is one of my favorite things about the Duke Mansion! Christy and Powell decided to have a live band perform for their reception which brought the spaces to life and kept everyone excited. I also love that they chose to hire the Ballantyne Photo Booth for some really fun photos throughout the night. These two really love having fun, as you can see!!
Congratulations again, Christy and Powell. Your classic Duke Mansion wedding day was a joy to photograph. I’m so happy for you both and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
