Helping my clients pull off big surprises like proposals and announcements is SO special to me. I love being trusted with a secret and being able to also document that special moment for years to come. So, when Jenny and John-Andrew reached out to me about planning a fall family session at Cleveland Park so that they could tell everyone they’re expecting a baby, I was all in! Their Cleveland Park family portraits were beautiful and sharing their announcement was definitely the icing on the cake.
Cleveland Park Family Portraits
To start, we treated their family portraits like normal! I captured some photos of the whole group together as well as some smaller groups. When it was time, I maneuvered Jenny and John-Andrew into the center of the group. After a few photos, I was ready and got in place. John-Andrew then said “Okay, on the count of three, everyone say “Jenny’s pregnant!””. I basically held the shutter down and snapped away as everyone registered what he’d said. It was amazing to capture their reactions – and Jenny already had her hand on her bump – and the ultrasound photo!
Once we were done with the candid celebration, I made sure to grab a few posed portraits of the whole family celebrating. It was just too fun not to! Congratulations again Jenny and John-Andrew! I’m so happy for you both and honored I could be a part of your exciting news!
