There’s probably nothing I love more than being able to celebrate my friends and their lives on a daily basis. So, when they ask me to then photograph their biggest and most exciting moments, I am just over the moon. That’s what happened with Jenny and John Andrew. These two dear friends of mine are expecting a little girl and they asked me to photograph their Romeare Bearden Park maternity session to celebrate Little Lucy’s upcoming arrival!
Romeare Bearden Park Maternity Session
I’m obsessed with Uptown Charlotte. It’s full of so much personality and so many local businesses, so I knew it would be a great spot for these maternity portraits. We started Jenny’s maternity session in the park because it gave us a beautiful view of the city and lots of open space to take their portraits. I loved the chance to capture Jenny and John Andrew together. Their excitement to be parents is palpable – and it’s clear that Lucy is already so loved. I absolutely cannot wait to meet her when she makes her debut, for the record!!
After we finished up in the park, we headed to the South End where Jeni’s Ice Cream is! This is one of the cutest spots in Charlotte!!! There’s a fun heart wall so of course, we stopped there for the end of our session. The pops of color were perfect against Jenny’s muted green dress – and it was just a playful end to our time together.
Congratulations again, Jenny and John Andrew! I’m so happy for you both and can’t wait to meet Lucy!!
