Every session I photograph is special to me, but when my family asks me to step in and take their new family portraits, I definitely get a little excited. This year, my brother Nathan and his wife Keri, asked if I would capture their family portraits. So I met up with them and my niece and nephew, Julia and James, for their Ivy Place Venue family portraits. When they arrived looking like they’d come right off a Christmas card, I couldn’t wait to get started!
The Ivy Place Venue Family Portraits
This beautiful spot in Lancaster SC has quickly become one of my favorite venues for family. There’s just so many great spots for photos – like the edge of this field and the older barn we chose for my brother’s session. I love that out in the open, we also got to enjoy that warm and glowing light as the sun went down. It was the perfect way to end their session.
I know I might be a little biased since I am their aunt, but Julia and James were amazing during our session and they looked so cute, too! James was a great little helper, hugging his parents and making Julia laugh. And Julia looked so sweet with her big hair bow and I got so many precious giggles out of her. I love these two kids so much and taking their photos was that much more fun because they’re my family!
