I cannot believe it’s this little chunk’s 1st birthday already! Graham is my cousin’s little boy and I have loved watching their family grow this past year! When they asked me to photograph his first birthday portraits, I may have squealed with excitement. There’s nothing like capturing the people that mean the most to me! I feel so lucky to know Kristyn and her sweet little boy.
First Birthday Portraits in Nursery
Kristyn and I have been close our entire lives. Our moms are basically twins and with us only being 2 days apart, we’ve always been close. And yes, Kristyn is two days older than me, and as much as I hate to admit that, it’s been 28 years so I should probably speak the truth. And plus, I feel like we are getting close to the age where I’m going to be thankful to truthfully consider myself as the “younger one.” 😉 Sorry, Kristyn!
When we talked about Graham’s 1st birthday session, we knew we wanted the same look (thanks, Pinterest). Soft colors, jammies, smash cake, and balloons. I could not be more excited about how these turned out. Unfortunately, little Graham was not the most thrilled about his cake and didn’t even seem to like the vanilla buttercream frosting. Kristyn and I laughed so hard as we both agreed that was NOT a trait of OUR family.
Overall, we had a fun time with these first birthday portraits and I can’t wait to see how they’re used on display at his actual party in early February!
